Consigning with Mine & Yours is an easy way to declutter, make money, and still feel as though you are making a difference - saving the planet and supporting a small, women-owned business.

Dear consignors, we have a few updates to our terms of consignment and intake procedure reminders.


Items that do not sell will be pulled for donation at 45 days from when it is tagged. It is the consignor's responsibility to keep up with the date, and upon request we can provide the exact date once it's been entered in the system. However, we do recommend donation as it does benefit local charities.


Due to high volume of consignments, we must scale back on the amount accepted per consignor. We will only take what we think has the best chance of selling based on brand, condition, and trends. Please do not be offended by what is not accepted.


Consignments are accepted Monday through Saturday 10-5 only. We do not accept consignments after 5pm or on Sundays.

The Breakdown

Step one: Bring in your gently used clothing, accessories, home décor, and furniture.


Step two: Hang around and check out the styles you love while we review your items.


Step three: We'll return what we can't accept.


Step four: Watch your items sell. Get paid when they do!

Consignment Contract 

  • Consignments are accepted Monday-Saturday 10:00-5:00 pm only. NO SUNDAYS.
  • $5 consignment fee is due annually beginning when you sign up.
  • Consignors receive 40% on the selling price of clothing & household items and 50% on furniture. Or can be used as store credit for a higher return (50%).
  • Items remain in the store for 45-60 days. Within that period, items are marked down in order to move merchandise quickly.
  • The consignor MUST pick up their items within 45 days to avoid donation. Unsold items become the property of Mine & Yours Asheville Resale where they may be donated to a charity. Some items, such as holiday items will be donated directly after the holiday.
  • After 45 days, the unsold items become the property of Mine & Yours Asheville Resale. Some items, such as holiday items, maybe discounted earlier.
  • Note: It is the consignor's responsibility to keep track of the 45 days and collect unsold merchandise if the donation is not desired; staff will not contact you.
  • Payment is available in cash after the sale of your items. If the credit on your account is more than $100, a check will be made to the consignor.
  • We do our best to go through consignments in a timely manner, and we ask that you wait in the shop till we are done. Consignments cannot be dropped off without asking.
  • We strive to take the very best care of your consignments. However, theft does occur. Therefore, we will not be responsible for stolen items. Mine & Yours Asheville Resale is not responsible for items damaged due to fire, flood, or natural disasters.

Requirements of Consigned Clothing

  • We ask that items be freshly laundered, and wrinkle and odor-free.
  • Consignments will not be accepted in trash bags. You may bring them in on hangers or neatly folded in a basket.
  • Clothing with holes, missing buttons, broken zippers, etc. will not be accepted.
  • Infant or toddler clothing must be matched up into the same size outfits. Example: 12-month bottoms with 12-month shirt OR two 12-month shirts together.
  • We only accept casual clothing. We do not carry wedding dresses, prom dresses, suits, or any formal wear. If you would like more clarification on what exactly 'casual' means, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will gladly answer any questions.
  • We are seasonal. Spring or Summer items are accepted February 1st, and Fall or Winter items are accepted August 1st.

Requirements of Housewares & Furniture

  • Must be clean and have a resale value of at least $5.
  • Batteries must be included for battery-operated items.
  • All lamps must have clean shades and lightbulbs.
  • We do not accept all electronic items. Please call us to see if we would accept the item before bringing it in.
  • Furniture must be in excellent condition. No deep scratches, peeling paint, or scuffed wood.
  • Our space is limited, therefore, please forward pictures of furniture before bringing it in.
